May 22-24 - Guilin/Yangsuo/Nanning

Sorry it's been so long since we last blogged, we've been to MANYY cities in the past few days, and we have pictures to show from all of them! This post is for just Guilin, Yangsuo, and Nanning since we have too many pictures to put in one post! We'll put more a lot more pictures onto facebook when we can, right now the internet's too slow to post :(.

Guilin/Yangsuo: May 22, 2010 to May 24, 2010

Airplane tickets to Guilin from Shanghai :D

We were recieved by Tim Su's mom and uncle/aunt, they were very friendly and treated us to a verryy nice dinner, here's our desert ;)

This is us in front of a really cool lighted bridge on the Lijiang river!
A picture of a ticket we bought to go into this lighted cave thing with lots of stalagmites.

A picture of a scene in the cave, it was really pretty :D

We decided to be cool and have some old guy push us across this lake on a raft after we left the cave to go to the parking lot, lazy us xD
We decided to climb this mountain too, it was a preetty good view, but tiring too.
Later, we decided to climb another mountain called Elephant Trunk mountain, this is Grace still trying to make her way up the stairs :]
After the mountain, we decided to do a little shopping.. this is how one vendor decided to implement a changing room.
We decided to go on the Lijiang river on a little cruise down to Yangsuo, here's Grace holding our expensive tickets.
While on the cruise, I decided to look at the rules for passengers, and I noticed point number 1: Do not throw coins or food to the swimming CHILDREN?!
Grace and I having someone take a picture of us on the river, lots of water and mountains.

In Yangsuo, we did quite a bit of shopping, but this was by far the best buy. This guy has the ability to inscribe our names on a grain of rice, and trap them into an ornament. It was only like 1 USD for each one too! Makes a nice necklace/cell phone decoration.

We decided to watch a pretty light show too, it was made up of like 300 natives, we watched from the side though, since we didn't want to pay the 40 bucks to buy real tickets haha.

So far on the trip, i had gotten like 12 mosquito bites, but I killed one. Revenge!

After that, we left Yangsuo and then went to Nanning.

We only stayed in Nanning for a matter of hours, this is Grace and I before we leave for Sanya.
